It's easy to talk. Stiverne made fun of Wilder before the fight. But once you're in that squared circle, reality hits. 33 men have tried, and all 33 men have failed.
That's one of the Old Time Nut Bag famous quotes.. tried, failed.

Funny enough, many of the guys who fit that description, like Marciano for example, never once faced a single live body decent opponent, just like Wilder has not!!

Liakhovich was done, Stiverne was sick and Scott took a dive.

Aside from a few others, there's really little else of substance or relevance.

Povetkin is gonna be the hardest opponent Wilder has ever faced.

Glad Povetkin got some experience fighting Wlad (Taller fighter), I think he'll know what to do against Wilder.

Hell I remember when people were saying Malik Scott was going to expose Wilder as a soft bum and Liankovich was going to hurt him so bad. Of course both ended up on the canvas in like minutes..

I just don't think Povetkin has the tools to get this one done. I respect that he's a solid fighter with good experience, just don't think that's going to make up for Wilder's HUGE advantages in every other aspect. Wilder is 5" taller and has a 8-9" reach advantage. That is just an incredible advantage no matter how you slice it. Plus he's faster and more powerful than Povetkin with far better feet and mobility then the heavy-footed Sasha. Sasha is not known for tremendous power and is going to take a horrific beating trying to get inside on Wilder and land a KO shot. Wilder took good shots from Stiverne and never really seemed hurt at all.

Stiverne actually outreaches Povetkin by a solid 5" and Wilder boxed his face off with jabs and right hands and coasted to the UD and had a knockdown against a guy with an iron chin. If Sasha is willing to absorb the massive punishment Wilder is going to dish to him without getting Ko'd or retreating he might be able to get close enough to land something big but I think Wilder will dispatch him with relative ease..

              Alexander Povetkin

              Offense-10
              Defense-7
              Power-8
              Movement-6
              Speed-7
              Stamina-8
              Chin-8
              Machismo-3

Forward charging, pressure fighter...tied up by Klitschko the entire fight...Mike Perez, who blew kisses at Bryant Jennings' punches, was knocked out in 1 round ...

              Deontay Wilder

              Offense-10
              Defense-6
              Power-7
              Movement-6
              Speed-7
              Stamina-8
              Chin-8
              Machismo-11

One punch KO power...elite stamina for a heavweight...stepped up competition and dominated Stiverne...not shy about telling the world how great he is

              Prediction: Povetkin, SD upset win.

Sho_Rulez's breakdown of Povetkin/Wilder ******, but smdh @ you citing Boxrec to support your view of Mike Perez being trash, which he is not. Dude is (or was) a solid fighter until the Abdulasamov fight. That kind of shyt can weigh negatively on a man's psyche and is not to be taken lightly. He hasn't been the same fighter since. His punches lack the authority they used to and I doubt his heart is in the fight game. He probably needs to retire.

Well people keep citing that fight as some sort of evidence that Povetkin is a fearsome beast that cannot be stopped outside of a nuclear attack. Maybe if Perez is as damaged as you say, then that fight means jack ****e..

Bro those folks are drinking Russian kool-aid. Perez was gun-shy from opening bell. I was not impressed. but I was surprised that Mike was knocked out so early in the bout. That fight is fool's gold in the sense of what it means for Povetkin's chances vs. Wilder

actually, Povetkin/Klitschko doesn't mean too much either. That fight was atrocious, Wlad was in there wrestling with Pov and the ref did NOTHING to keep the fight clean.
