thats all it takes when u're getting backed into the ropes not firing and really not winning the jab battle in most rounds either..if he got through with one i'd normally see him get through with a power shot as that one and a jab to finish it off...they traded big hooks at time..dirrel started catching jame's hook on his back and shoulder instead of running backward givin him the aggressive play like james did when dirrell would rip off shots...very close fight one point win either way..i'd love a draw and rematch

no dirrell figured him out..the left hand that was work started to land short or on dirrell's back..he had to adjust tried to show off the backfoot, but dirrell was to good at cutting the distance and coming in with power shots for that..chess match fight i loved it..this is why i want ggg at 168..he'll fit right into a great division..

Pretty good chess match, I'd actually like to see a rematch, perhaps in DeGale's hometown.

Props to DeGale on a good win, and Dirrel as well who showed a lot of heart after those two knock downs coming back and making it close.

... As he came back in the 11th and 12th, he didn't gass... He "strategically" dominated the fight...

He looked tired. But Dirrell also had something to do with it, his jab and straight left were fast and hard and were putting "Chunky" on the back foot.

              Yes..Well done DeGale !

Enjoyable fight i thought. I had DeGale up by 2 points.
Dirrell showed he still has it. He showed heart coming back from the knock-down.

              Well done DeGale

i want to see 5,6,11, and 12 again
He looked tired in mid-rounds, possibly from moving around constantly on the backfoot. When he pushed again in the last 2 rounds, he was getting to Dirrell. I gave DeGale 6 & 12. Close fight though.

Dirrell was saved by the bell twice. DeGale hurt him late in the rounds. Olympic gold medallist and pro world champion...doing okay for a "trash fighter".

I didn't score the fight, but it was nice to see a British fighter win on American soil. Cong**** to DeGale.

Only reason im asking is because his trainer Jim Mcdonald is apparantly known for getting his fighters well conditioned and James in a pre fight interview said he does 2 hour runs etc implying he'll has no issues with stamina.
