Comments Thread For: Froch is Seven Pounds Away From Fighting Weight

Nottingham’s Carl “The Cobra” Froch has revealed that is still close to his fighting weight as he ponders his next move. Froch, 33-2 (24), missed out on a fight with Julio Cesar Chavez Junior earlier this year, but there are still options out there for the former WBC, IBF and WBC 168lb champion.

He's been saying he might retire since last September. That's 9 months ago. Hasn't he had time to discuss this with the people mentioned. If this is his idea of creating suspense and hype for the Golovkin fight then it's wearing thin. Just make your dozy mind up and come to a decision within a week or so, I mean, how much can there be to discuss and how long can it take?

Froch-Golovkin is a fight I would pay for. To me it'd be a fight of the year. I would love to watch that fight.

It'd be exciting too, especially because Canelo is well known and both can make profit in Nottingham. But Canelo is too small to move up to SMW, although he hasn't move up to MW yet.

Everybody remembers exactly where they were when Carl Froch knocked out the ginger behemoth; George Groves in front of 80 thousand fans at Wembley.
