Does anyone know about RJJ JC fight

Has anyone heard about what is going on between RJJ and JC? I heard that JC's promoter came over to talk to some fighters and Roy was on top of the list. Anyone have any ideas or heard anything.

I think the prospect of this fight sucks.

I think it's perfectly marketable to the average, infrequent boxing viewer...because it's Roy Jones JR in the ring against a guy from Wales that people in the states are just learning about...having beaten Lacy.

To the real fightfan, it's a joke. If you can sit there and tell me with a straight face...this could help Calzaghe's legacy....I'll laugh.

It can only help Roy's legacy if he wins, and it's not like he needs his legacy to be improved. He should just retire before he gets hurt because I think that's what will happen.

roy is not shot. he's not in him prime but he can fight. roy predicted calzaghi to win when no one else did.. and if he predicts he can beat joe ill believe him.

i dont think roy should fight and more only bc his last fight he didnt look like he wanted it. if he goes out there and fights like the old RJJ he will win. not for nothing but if JC beats RJJ at his best than he will get some props. you have to look at it like this. all of HBO knew the RJJ didnt fight his fight against tarver. i mean come on merchant asked tarver if he really thinks RJJ bought is best game. of course tarver is going to say yes he did it was a chess match if i made the wrong mover checkmate. thats BS he knew RJJ didnt bring his game that night. people will know when he brings it out. i would really actually like to see this fight happen. if RJJ fights like he did a few years ago. which i think is still really possible.

Joe is not a big puncher like Tarver and Roy still has the reflexes to last and catch Joe. I give him a good shot and if RJJ does win it would be huge, and stamp how good he really is (washed up but still good enough to be the supermiddle weight champ of the world)!!!

Calzaghe actually used to be a huge puncher, before he started struggling like hell to make 168 that is. The 1996 Calzaghe had amazing power.
