Promociones del Pueblo did its part to line up Hugo Ruiz with a lucrative showdown versus former four-division champ Nonito Donaire. The Mexico-based promotional outfit won the right to promote the fight after submitting the highest offer during Friday's purse bid hearing in Mexico City. [Click Here To Read More]

It's not happening, per Dan Rafael.

Donaire's likely fighting a ten-rounder against Anthony Settoul, and then Quigg or Frampton.

It also won't be televised by HBO.

          I read that report too.

I didn't see any quotes from Bob Arum, any mention of Settoull, the discussion of the rest of the Macau card, or the tv situation.

It's because it's all speculation other than Donaire appearing on the card. This was literally the only thing Arum had to say (at least on the record) regarding Donaire.

"Donaire is taking things seriously now I think and hopefully he makes a recovery from the knockout at the hands of Nicholas Walters, who was too big for him," Arum said. "We think he can win another title."

The rest is "likely...", "good chance...". Nothing substantive, certainly no guarantee he faces either of those two. Being that it's Arum, I put such hypotheticals alongside the chances of Pacquiao's next fight landing in Dubai.
