The Galaxy Warrior made some good points!! Boxing is still a business at the end of the day! ! If a fighter can put azz's in seats the money will follow!! The history of boxing in the USA is not the only History of BOXING! ! Good luck on the Radio show Nate Campbell

He was offered the Coca Cola franchise for Germany by an American executive for the company. As I understand it Schmeling became very wealthy from it.

Look at you speaking on behalf of a race.

If you don't think the race card ever gets played then you are just as ignorant at the racists.

It's whack hearing idiots on this site talk about racism not existing or people being prejudiced by the older generations. I'd be inclined to think and feel a similar way if I had not had racial abuse and mistreatment thrown my way since the age 5. People can fuck off with the nonsense and attempts to sweep it under the rug.

You name me a leading sport (Football, American Football, NBA, Cricket etc.) where it wouldn't be news if the use of N saw a drastic rise when a particular figure emerged victorious.

The fact that black athletes earn a lot in boxing means very little. People speak as though they're handed bags of cash, for nothing, whilst ignoring the fact that the networks earn money from them. People also ignore the fact that they're hoping they can build a star from the ashes of the black fighters they are working with.

While I don't like Nate Campbell and I think he sucks,it was an interesting even if I didn't agree with all of it. Or really any of it for that matter.

I'm not "Black" per say or "African American" I have many friends of that ilk so I understand what they go through.

But I do wish him luck with his radio show and/or podcast.

I lost a lot of respect for Nate Campbell years ago when he said he was going to give Robbie Peden brain damage and leave him brain dead in the rematch.

What happened in the rematch? He got beaten from pillar to post, got bloodied up after the first round, granted the fight was stopped prematurely imo, but he didn't exactly show off his great defense in that bout. Then he cried and whined about how he was robbed. It's like dude, what happened to giving Peden Brain damage? What happened to beating him so bad you'll leave him brain dead. Instead Campbell was a no show and lost to a very subpar fighter.

He wasn't as good as he claims he was.

With that being said I agree and think there is definitely some racism in boxing. It's an ethnic sport, as Larry Merchant would say. How much is up for interpretation.

Lets not sit here and act like boxing isn't racist and if you look back at the sport, most of the biggest fights in history are racially charged affairs. A lot are politically and soically charged as well.

Going waaaay back to Johnson vs Jeffries, and the slew of white hopes

                      Joe Louis vs Max Schmeling

Julio Cesar Chavez vs Meldrick Taylor/Whitaker

Mayweather vs Hatton/DLH/Canelo and Cotto...man the comments of the Hispanics and white fans were a bit disturbing across social media after Mayweather beat them.

                      Mayweather vs Pacquaio

Also look at the crimes that Roethlisberger commited and its not spoke about but all you have to do is go on NSB and repeatedly hear the same crap about Mayweather being a woman beater, is being a rapist better? Manny Pacquaio cheated on his wife, ******** and drinking problems but the media made him out to be a saint and a darling.

America and the world has always had a double standard and made/make it harder for people of color

Also every generation, their is a black athlete that loses years out of their prime because of allegations and litigation when white athletes are getting away with ****, murder, fraud, and still keep their means of feeding their family...Mike Vick in the 2000s lost his best years in the nfl because of freaking dog fighting, Mike Tyson lost 3 1/2 years over an alleged raping in the 90's, Ali lost his best years in the late 60's and early 70's over refusal to fight in a war he didn't believe in because of religious reason, when the last 4 hundred years whites built this country for greed, and religious freedom

lets not act like even when a black athlete is humble that the media still finds fault in his character....Modern America was put together by white immigrants and built by the hands of blacks and native americans.....do you really think they want someone that doesn't look like them to be the best at everything? Hell blacks didn't get consistent world title shots until the 1950s-1960s...but whites were " world champions" LMAO
