Wrong. In America, Black people are just Black people. I consider myself a Black man as do many of my Black peers. "African-American" is a term that was forced upon us, some chose to stick with it but for the most part we don't identify with that ideology anymore. The only reason it remains is because the media deemed it as "politically correct" because for some reason white people are too afraid to say "black man/woman".
