Kovalev throuroghly brutalizes, outboxes and embarasses Ward for 5 rounds before taking his soul and knocking him out.

Ward wouldn't even win a round. Not one single round. This will truly be easy work for Kovalev if Ward ever grows a pair and steps up (don't bet on it).

This fight isnt' happening. Ward wants no part of the P4P #1 fighter once Wlad and Floyd retire. Ward got knocked out by a journeyman scrub in Darnell Boone. Imagine what Kovalev will do?

***inb4 someone says KOvalev got dropped by Boone too, but ignore the fact that Andre Ward has eagle feathers as fists

I'd love to see it. I think Ward vs. Kovalev makes more sense than Ward vs. GGG but it's also a riskier prospect for Ward to lose that size advantage.

Ward is very skilled but Kovalev is not just a mindless brute. Ward would have to neutralize his power all night long. He's capable of executing but I think Kovalev would likely hit him with a legit chin check at some point over 12 rounds.

Basic..lol.. the boxer that outskilled hopkins. I would love to have seen how Ward would have matched up to hopkins.
Kovalev is too big and too clever to fight wards fight , he can take wards head off at any time.

Legit lol'd. This fight would mimic the Hopkins fight only ward would get ko'd.

Ok sonny, its personal...lol. Ward is obviously dominant at 168, and an excellent talent, if not very exciting. I just dont think, after his lay-off and the size of him at smw that he will make it again for too many fights. He wont get the kind of payday he warrants with anyone else at 175 apart from Kovalev or Stephenson now that Pascal Hopkins and Bute have been dropkicked.
Kovalev is just too big, powerful and clever to fall into Wards gameplan... IMO
Ward would be well advised to try and get his fight soon at a catchweight.

Ward has best of both worlds in fighting either GGG or Kovalev, in terms of big money for him. If he plays his cards right, those fights can build up for him and make him #1 pfp, assuming he beats both.

                  Kovalev shouldn't wait for him.

Can't we just say Andre Ward is the best fighter ever and have him retire?

                  He's painful to watch.

He gets inside really fast punches then holds. I wish he'd just punch and get out. He has the ability to do it.

His style isn't appealing and it's made worse because he has so many natural skills yet still fights like that.

I mean he doesn't fight much anyways. Let's just call him great and put him in the hall of fame now.

He's not a bad commentator at all but HBO seems pissed at him. I am sure he can get on somewhere.

Anywhere but in the ring, Please...

What's interesting is that the same suckups that justify GGG not moving up to fight ward (or taking his precious time) because they echo like tape recorders of whatever the GGG camp says (Ward brings no money) , are now the same people who've conveniently forgot that Ward brings no money to the table once Kovalev says he wants Ward ! I guess what this means is that all this time u bigots were helping with GGG'S defense fund . in other words helping GGG propagate his excuse to not fight Ward and justify it as a money issue when its really fear . cowards !!!

Ward is great and he can beat everyone.

Since we all know this have him retire!
