Comments Thread For: Loeffler: Povetkin-Perez Winner Earns Deontay Wilder

Promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions is excited about tomorrow's high stakes heavyweight fight in Moscow, between 29-year-old Cuban boxer Mike Perez (21-1-1, 13KOs) and 35-year-old Olympic gold medal winner Alexander Povetkin (28-1, 20KOs) of Russia.

The two fighters will battle in an WBC final heavyweight eliminator. The winner will earn a shot at World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32KOs), who next month defends his title in a voluntary bout against Eric Molina in Alabama.

      Great news.

Whoever wins that match-up will finally earn some respect and will truly deserve the unification fight versus Wladimir.

I never want to see Povetkin vs Klitschko ever again. WORST FIGHT EVER.
