I think PBC is awesome.

I mean hey, when was the last time we had free fights with popular fighters headlining?

PBC has really only been around a few months now, so there is still time to let it build itself up. It has already brought attention(hence why we're talking about it)and changed the dynamic of politics in boxing.

Everyone thinks they can do a better job then a guy who managed a fighter into being the highest paid athlete in the world. Get real.

I do and i think PBC is great for the sport. In a world of football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and soccer, i think its awesome that young kids have the opportunity to get interested early in boxing. Build that talent pool.

Young kids? You may get them interested in watching exciting fights, but that's about it. You are not going to get a large influx of young kids taking up boxing as a sport. In today's world, sports such as hockey and football are being made as close to contract free for younger players as possible to reduce injuries, especially brain damage caused by concussion. You are not going to get too many parents enrolling their kids in a sport where the primary goal is to take your opponent's head off and cause concussions.

That is one of the main things boxing has against it becoming a mainstream, successful sport that can compete with baseball, basketball, football, hockey and soccer for major network deals and money.

Kids will see it and want to try it. Will they like it? IDK. I didnt and i didnt like football either. Baseball was my passion but i tried it. Some will move forward with boxing and others will continue with the major sports.

You want to look into the future instead? OK... I can easily see a future where any kind of full contact sport is limited to 16 years and older. It has nothing to do with thinking small, it has everything to do with thinking logically. Something that very few people around here seem to be able to do. Perhaps they took one too many shots to the head while their fragile brain was developing.

Haymon is spending his investors money left and right but the one thing he didn't do is make sure PBC has high quality fights. That's how you generate buzz and get the fans.

That's what it seems like to me too, but maybe Haymon has a better plan.

I love the PBC and think they have decent cards. What would make it even better is to get Golden Boy and Top Rank in on it so we can see even better fights. There's no reason why some of these fights have not been made yet. Blocking others out, instead of coming together and working as one, does not help the future of boxing. It's Haymon's idea and he deserves all the money he can make from it. His risk, his reward. But I think the reward can be so much better and come so much quicker if we can have fights like a Broner vs. Bradley for example. Big money fight with good ratings that would be fun to watch and Bradley probably would come out with the "W", but Broner is going to showboat and will have the opportunity to do so because of the lack of power by Bradley. I'm just hoping they start acting like grown men and start working together.

His second problem is that its unorganized. He has different networks showing fights on different days and at different times. The average casual fan cant keep up with who's fighting who on what channel on what day and at what time. I'm a diehard fan and I cant keep up with it. Sometimes I wont even know there was a PBC fight until the day after when I read about it here.

That does seem to be a problem. Before PBC if I wanted to watch boxing I knew to keep an eye out for Saturday nights on HBO or Showtime. Also Friday nights on ESPN. And that was it--short and simple.

Now after PBC there are fights all over the place at times that don't always have a pattern that you can get into a comfortable routine with. It's a pain in the ass to keep up with all the channels...I do it because I'm a hardcore fan who is in love with the sport. But I don't see casuals caring enough to put in all that effort.

LOL... Golden Boy wants nothing to do with Haymon cause he stole a bunch of fighters from underneath the company's nose. HBO wants Haymon to fail cause of the way Haymon protects his fighters. The money is not large enough for Golden Boy and Top Rank to make deals with PBC.

That's what it seems like to me too, but maybe Haymon has a better plan.
