Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao made a fortune from their May 2nd welterweight mega-fight. The event called "Fight of The Decade" sold 4.4 million pay-per-views, which crushed the existing 2.48 million record. Between all of the revenue streams, the card is going to bring in $500 million dollars.

Mayweather won a twelve round unanimous decision and is anticipated to return to action in September. Pacquiao, who had should surgery two weeks, is not going to return to the ring until 2016.

ESPN The Magazine put together their annual list of the world's highest paid athletes and Mayweather, Pacquiao blew away the competition by a significant margin.

LOL!!!! Just to think that he could have taken 50/50 if he would have accepted the random drug testing back then, just to take a 10% cut and then beg for a needle in his shoulder an hour before the fight years later.....crazy.

I'm pretty sure that Floyd said no to 50-50...

Eventually Mayweather said no to 50/50....initially Floyd accepted it until Pac refused randomized testing the first time. Floyd said 50/50 or the next time they negotiate the first offer would be off the table. Don't try to re-write history.

Everyone that posted between taking the 40mil offer in 2012 or the 50/50 split are idiots they still wouldn't of gotten payed what they did now economy was terrible and in recession and recovering from recession back then no way they would of been able to sell fight for 100 bucks and rack in this kind of cash all that 50/50 or 40mil talk is moot point
