  • Comments Thread For: Arum Doubts Pacquiao Can Return By Year's End

According to Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, there is little to no chance of Manny Pacquiao seeing action for a second time in 2015.

Two weeks ago, Pacquiao has surgery for a right shoulder injury that he sustained during the fourth round of his fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2nd.

There was some loose talk about Pacquiao potentially coming back near the end of the year.

Arum doubts that's possible. He believes Pacquiao won't be able to train for at least six months, which makes a ring return this year nearly impossible.

Hope Pacman just retires. There is nothing left to prove. I remember in the Manny movie Jinkee said that win or lose she hopes Manny retires after fighting Mayweather and this interview was from like 2011 lol

Arum is still kicking you PAC ROCKS

Arum knows damn well Manny will be fighting by the end of the year. I have no doubt that this "injury" will heal way ahead of the average recovery time. You know why? Because PAC was never hurt. i would believe PAC if they provided an authenticated MRI showing either an injury before or after The fight. Don't forget, he's still facing discipline from the NSAC in addition to the lawsuits. i have a feeling Manny won't fight in the states again for a long time, if ever again.

Arum and Koncz both now seem nervous about putting Pac back in the ring. To think he'll be in before the end of the year at this point seems buggin to me.

Get ready for the 2016 return of pacman.

Man it is things like this that I mentioned where not worth listening too much in another thread...Two articles recently have been based on Arum making comments about this shoulder. One says the shoulder was fine going into 5/2. One says he can't return by years end. Meaning that according to Arum this injury happened during the fight, when it has been proven several times that the injury happened before it.

We should all really stop listening to these off the fly comments from people and look at the actual evidence and go from there. These type of quotes just set off the fanbases arguing about some comment that makes no sense rather than actual released and confirmed information.

Arum is well worth ignoring in my opinion.

Give Manny Pacquiao a chance to show the boxing world of a good come back. If the Pacman can show the public that he is fighting for the sake of the sport and not for the money...then it can be a good event for all the boxing fans worldwide.

Arum will announce in September that Pacqauio will fight again in November, exactly six months after his fight with Mayweather. That means he will begin training in September, four months after his alleged surgery.

When I had rotator cuff surgery, my orthopedist told me that I could not lift anything weighing more than 10 pounds for six months. Yet, Pacquaio will make the fastest recovery in history and be back in the ring in six months.

Here is where you messed up.

The shoulder went into the fight in a manageable but not 100% state (aka 'fine') where it was exacerbated in the early rounds to the point of requiring serious surgery to repair it (aka can't return by year's end). Any questions?

What are you? a woman? . . . When you've pissed off your girl and you know she's pissed and she says "Nothing, I'm fine!"

If Arum says the shoulder is fine, then to me it means it's perfectly good.

So Arum says Pac will sit out the rest of the year, and Koncz says he should retire, but you still think he's going to come back in November? You've made this story up in your mind that Pac will make a comeback contrary to his statements about an injury, despite there being absolutely no reason to believe that, because you want that to be true to prove Pac's injury is fake.

If a site had a line on Pac's return where the over/under line was Jan 1st 00:00:00 2016, I'd put my house on the over.
