They ARE having one of the best years. Thanks to good match ups, exciting fights and a true boxing audience! I'm hoping the PBC follows suit and makes some enticing fights that fans will clamor for. Broner/Porter is a start.

The people who said PBC would hurt HBO are looking foolish by the day. Not only has PBC not made a single dent in HBO's ratings the opposite has happened and HBO's ratings have gone up and they are having one of their best years in a long time. The real people who are hurt by PBC is Showtime. HBO was ahead of the curve and were tired of Haymon trying to leverage his stable by forcing HBO into buying terrible fights and as a result cut ties and boycotted Haymon years earlier before PBC. This lead to Showtime totally selling out and making a deal with the devil.

Showtime hitched their wagon to Haymon and damaged relationships with all the other top fighters and promoters along the way. They bid against themselves and overpaid for blatant garbage fights just to keep Haymon happy and to continue having the sole rights to his fighters. In the process they had a horrendous 2014 that ruined their reputation with fights like Garcia vs Salka again just to keep Haymon happy and he repaid them by stabbing them in the back and still taking all those fighters from Showtime to PBC network tv. lmao

Since the first PBC show not only has the amount of boxing cards falling off a cliff on Showtime but the ratings for the few boxing content they have left have been some of the worst in years. The one big fight they had since PBC was Chavez Jr which was a total disaster. Not only did he lose in humiliating fashion killing his worth going forward but the ratings were wiped out by HBO because they decided to go head to head with the already announced Mattyhsee fight. And this is not even mentioning that after the fight there was a mini riot with angry Mexican fans throwing beers at Chavez all captured during the telecast. Showtime basically has Mayweather for one more fight and nothing else significant.

PBC put the dagger in the heart for Showtime boxing.

Chavez Jr. and Wilder seem to be about the only name fighters they're spending on, and JCC Jr. hasn't exactly been a great investment, so far.

Maybe Wilder will develop into something, although it's interesting that he's getting a tune-up on SHO for his next fight, and then he'll probably go to NBC next for a significantly better fight (likely to be the Povetkin-Perez winner).

Exactly Wilder is fighting a bum on Showtime's dime. Once he is ready for a big fight it will no doubt be on Network Prime time. Now that Haymon has PBC it makes no sense for him to put his best fights on Showtime. If that were the case then Broner vs Porter would be on Showtime.
