I don't get why Dirrel gets no credit, its a damn shame... thats a Mayweather type preformance on a great fighter, and then the ass whopping he put on Abraham was a class act... then the tradgic brain problems.... Dirrel should be praised coming into this fight with Degale and applauded

Mayweather style preformance against Froch(making it look easy) and he's ten times more exciting due to the weight and power.. man he hurt Froch bad

So glad Dirrell didn't get that decision.

He should have been thrown out, really.

I do think he will beat James though. If James puts himself on the ropes to try and counter a quicker fighter who is loath to put himself in any danger of getting hit we have a poor fight on the horizon which the home fighter will edge.

He stayed in one weight class and hasn't won a single major belt. After the Froch fight he should have tried to earn his way back to a title shot and get a rematch. Instead, he spent 5 years wasting away his career. If he loses to DeGale then that's a wrap for him. He'll go down as one of the biggest underachievers in boxing.
A guy that's whole life is boxing since he was a kid, only ever lost very close amateurs fights, fights for a world title and dominates a Froch,Dominates his next challenge an undefeated ko machine who people thought was favorite for the tourney (ARther Abraham)

Then he gets brain damage in a fight he was dominating so bad that the other guy had to get himself DQ'd in

But lets forget about the brain damage,he aint fought anybody since then so he's a coward

Obviously the brain damage was a worry so they have moved him along slow, sad I know but better that than risking being in a wheelchair,Sadly i don't think Dirrel is the same beast from the super six though...he's slowed down a lot and he should be in his prime...Brain damage is highly plausible

DeGale (20-1, 14KOs) will face Andre Dirrell (24-1, 16KOs) for the vacant IBF title on Saturday night in Boston.

If Froch had any bad words to say about DeGale, he has far less respect for Dirrell. Froch won what many felt was a controversial decision over four years ago in Nottingham.

That video shows Dirrells highlights aka the flashes of brilliance he showed. It didn't show him literally running away from Froch, leaping on top of him, hugging, him, sliding down to Froch's **** and trying to get points taken - when does Mayweather do that ****? Come on man.

He was outstanding against Abraham - now that was a consistent performance to be proud of.....for 10 rounds. But then again, he started to lose his composure towards the ned.

One could see the sparks of genius in Dirrells eyes... One can still see them now.

You don't win a fight by fighting like a chicken shît for 8 rounds. It's a shame for Dirrell as by the time he finally grew in confidence he wasn't only schooling Froch, but backing him up. He just left it too late, it was a Jekyl and Hyde performance.

I'm split between DeGale and Dirrell. I've been a fan of both for years and really believed both would rise to the top of 168. I probably give Dirrell the edge in ability, but DeGale has more heart and has more momentum going into the fight by more impressive wins over better opposition.

I don't think any outcome would really surprise me tbh.
