Comments Thread For: The Big Lie

By Thomas Hauser - Sometime prior to fighting Floyd Mayweather on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Manny Pacquiao suffered a torn right rotator cuff. In mid-April, his condition was evaluated at the Kerlan Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles. Pacquiao later told Filipino journalist Ronnie Nathanielsz that he was advised to rest his shoulder for thirty to forty days.

At that point, Pacquiao considered postponing the fight. But he opted instead for a ****tail of pain-killing, anti-inflammatory, and healing drugs approved by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), which had contracted with Pacquiao and Mayweather to oversee drug testing in conjunction with the fight.

Thereafter, Pacquiao’s preparation for the fight was significantly compromised. Among other things, he stopped sparring for at least a week in an effort to avoid exacerbating his shoulder injury.

At a pre-fight physical administered by the Nevada State Athletic Commission on May 1, Pacquiao (or advisor Michael Koncz; it’s unclear which) filled out an NSAC medical questionnaire and listed the medications that Manny had been taking: Lidocaine, Bupivacaine, Celestone, PRP, and Toradol.

Koncz told the New York Daily News and BoxingScene.com that he was the one who filled out the questionnaire. Bob Bennett (executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission) told Fox Sports that Pacquiao did it. [Click Here To Read More]

It's like Canelo said, there's a strong chance postponement by Pacquiao would have killed the bout outright.

It was tough enough to get Floyd in the ring after 6 years with a tenuous agreement in place, postponement would've provided the perfect out to say "see, I told you he didn't want it".

Pacquiao is full of shit. Man Freddie and Manny rehearsed certain lines in situations if they lost. As much as I don't like Roach, I think Roach is truly ashamed of the way Pacquiao is acting. There is no way he would say that out loud though, but he is probably ashamed of him right now.

6 years all that money was on the table, at very least a far bigger purse than any other fight he took part in. This isn't a rational individual we're talking about.

50 Cent in 2012: "100 million on the table and he just left it there"

          So, yeah...

Though the fanatics seethe at this ^, it's just the truth. Canceling a fight this big was not an option. Sorry if it takes away the boasting rights that Mayweather devotees were dying for but the truth is unavoidable. These guys should try not putting so much emotional investment into a fighter they don't even know and things like this won't be so aggravating.

I know it's barely over 2 weeks now but it seems like this debate and
              miscarriage has gone on forever.

This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that...

Floyd Mayweather's so-called "victory" over Manny Pacquiao is a BIG LIE!!!

So no one is gonna bring up how floyd's camp wanted a "retroactive the****utic use exemption" and Pac's team told them to **** off

This is all a moot point cuz even with one arm, Pacquiao did enough to win
