Ryan Burton catches up with Tony Morgan, trainer of Willie Monroe Jr, to discuss WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (30-0, 30KOs) stopping Monroe in six rounds at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Golovkin dropped him hard twice in the second round and one final time in the sixth, where Monroe told the referee that he had enough. This is my problem with what GGG said after the fight. First off it is disrespectful to your opponent, second as a fan I don't want someone to lay down during a fight for any reason. Its dumb if true and will likely bite you in the ass eventually.

Another fighter that needs a better trainer... When the only instruction you can give your fighter in the corner is "kick his ass", then you're screwed.

Didn't Floyd claim the same thing after some of his recent fights?

"I tried it make it more exciting doe"

I don't think for one second that GGG was just toying with him. Monroe showed heart, and lasted as long as he did.

lol monroe never frustrated golovkin, the only time monroe had success was when golovkin was taking a breather

the only thing that monroe showed up with was that tim bradley conditioning and thus an epic chin, his skills were no where near golovkin
