Froch will retire as a top 5 ATG at 168lbs

The cobra has passed on a fight with Degale virtually ending any chance he will fight again. Looking back on his career the man with a fairly limited skill set but great stamina and chin made it huge at supermiddle. Only 1 fighter has ever shown dominance over Froch and considering the level of his competition that's an amazing accomplishment.

Imo he is the 5th best supermiddle ever and can hold his head high in retirement.

    My top 5 at 168
    1) Calzaghe
    2) ward
    3) RJJ
    4) Collins
    5) Froch

He's in great company and will likely be hall of fame in about 5 years. We salute you Mr Froch.

      No Ottke? Blaspheme!

168 is probably the most historically stacked division of all time, the history man, goes back so far.

Lets not forget Nigel Benn or Chris Eubank either. As to his list. Can't see putting Roy in there as he did'nt stay at 168 very long. He could of fought Benn, Eubank or Collins, but did'nt. That alone knocks him off imo.

168 is were light heavyweights HIDE! Yes Froch is limited and has base skills but was a good competitor theres alot of those men in boxing. ATG, really?
Why not a good competitor that sums him up honestly, ATG is ridiculous!
ATG in England is fine by me.

The division has only existed for like 30 years so I would say it is hard to not put him at least in the top 10 at 168.
