Floyd tried to sit on the ropes but he was getting tagged too much so he stopped and ducked and twirled to get his back off the ropes. He even said Pac was too akward to stay on the ropes and defend against post-fight

I will say one thing that bothers me about Floyd. He wins, hugs, kisses you. Praises the living sh”t out of you. Then he goes to the crowd, media, etc and belittles you. Calls you names, etc. What is that?

30 seconds into round 1 Mayweather his Pacquaio with a stiff right hand counter and that effectively ended Pacquaio's game plan. Pacquaio was maybe stunned a little, but the look on his face said "Uh Oh!" because of how easily Floyd had punched him square in the face without him being able to do anything to stop it.

Pacquaio learned early he couldn't rush in with reckless abandon because Mayweather would punish him with accurate punches that were too fast for him to do anything about. 30 seconds in and it was already decided.

And if you watch some of the later rounds, it is Pacquaio who is moving away from Mayweather.

Fraud didn't willingly put his back on the ropes, Pacquiao put him there with a straight left counter in the fourth round (as seen on my gif) and again with an overhand left in round six. Two of the most significant punches landed throughout the entire fight.
