    Back to real boxing conversations

did anyone else have the hope that after may 2nd no matter who won that we would finally be able to get back to real conversation? yes we still have ggg and canelo and ward to some extent but for the most part we have gotten rid of ridiculous elementary grade humor words for certain fan bases. maybe im getting ahead of myself but it just seems you can actually come to NSB now and actually talk about boxing. Lets hope to keep this going. I like getting in a little back and fourth between fan bases like the rest but it was getting to a ridiculous level where just because you liked a certain fighter in the ring you were attacked personally. Long live NSB and long live boxing fans

I really wish we could move on, but I knew this would happen because they waited so long. Every year added another excuse no matter who won.

It happened. It's over. Let's talk about something else. We have Cotto/Alvarez, and Golovkin waiting. We have Kovalev and Stevenson. We have a welterweight division that's about to blow up when Mayweather retires. We have a great featherweight divison. We have tremendous lower classes. We have Andre Ward coming back. It's exciting.

I figured the very worst Pac fans would spam NSB with garbage posts and threads if Manny lost. I didn't think it would be this bad for 2 weeks though.

At some point, they should just be ignored. There are plenty of other things to discuss, especially as HBO pushes "excitement" over skills, the Stevenson/Kovalev dynamic, 122/126 being loaded.

There are always other boxing related topics to discuss outside of Floyd/Manny.

        Cotto/Canelo w. GGG waiting
        Ward/GGG & Kovalev
        Wilder/Wlad
        Loma/Walters
        Crawford/Matthysse
        Kovalev/Stevenson

So much to look forward to. Even fights like Broner/Porter on the schedule are intriguing.

Indeed there is always a lot going on in boxing, and things look pretty good for the next year and half. Hopefully there are a couple more surprises in there for the positive that add to the list.

I wasn't naive though, that sort of talk isn't ending for at least 18 months (and probably 24) because there will be no finality for a lot of people when it comes to Mayweather. It is like The Sopranos ending people need closure, life can't just go on. Over time that feeling will fade, but it takes just that time.

Plus how many people really discuss a ton of different aspects of the sport, that is a fairly small minority of the forum.

I can't weight for both Floyd and Manny to retire

I just hope the certain portion of the forum also follows the footsteps of their Manny fanboy counterparts

The Archangel Golovkin has washed the May-Pac mess away.

              All praise be to G.G.G.

Once Floyd and Manny retire this place will be tolerable again.

Hopefully all the **** riding fans go with them.

Nevermind the bitter hoes whining about "TBE" and making excuses. What's done is done.

This is turning out to be a pretty damn good year for boxing. And the future looks bright. Plenty to be happy about.
