  • Comments Thread For: Left-Handed Lara: Golovkin Will Never Fight Me Now

Erislandy Lara and Canelo Alvarez haven’t agreed on much over the past year, but the junior middleweights were on the same page regarding Gennady Golovkin’s performance Saturday night.

Neither fighter was overly impressed by how Golovkin looked during his mostly one-sided, sixth-round technical knockout victory over Willie Monroe Jr. at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

When did Lara ever say he wanted Golovkin at 154?

Unlike alvared. Lara will actually fight GGG. But triple G needs to stop using smaller weight class big names to duck andre ward.

Problem for Lara is his chin can't back up his mouth. This ain't 154. Lara probably wouldn't have even made it out of the 2nd rd had he been caught by the same punch. Monroe barely did himself and he weighed more than GGG

About a mth ago I read somewhere on here where Lara said lets get it on .

Its an interesting fight that I would like see , Lara could steal it if he gets it into the later rounds .

                Make this fight, please.

Angulo showed us that Lara will fight when pressed. GGG will press. GGG will probably kick the **** out of him, but it'll be entertaining.

And if not, we'll learn something about Golovkin.

                It's a win/win as far as I can see.

Ummmm, if Lara wants a shot at the king of boxing, then move to 160 and get in line. GGG will gladly add you to the death toll.

Until then, no one cares enough about you that they are going to come down from 160 to 154. GGG would only do that for Floyd.

Seems like a bunch of talk. Like I said, if Lara really wanted GGG, he could move to 160 and work his way into being a mando for one of the belts. Earn the fight by winning, not by running off your mouth.
