Following Mayweather's WBO/WBA/WBC welterweight unification win over Manny Pacquiao, more and more people started calling for a fight between him and Golovkin, who holds the WBA/IBO titles at middleweight. Mayweather also holds the WBC/WBA titles at junior middleweight, but hasn't made a defense in that division since September 2013.

Monroe says Mayweather, who is 38-years-old and wants to retire after one more fight, has done more than enough in the sport of boxing and there should be no reason for him to move up for a fight with Golovkin.

But it was ok for other fighters to go up or down in weight for Mayweather.

Just like Marquez did - went up in weight to face Mayweather.

Just like Canelo went down in weight to face Mayweather.

      GTFOH!!

This dude just got a taste of GGGs power and he sure dont want Mayweather to feel the same.

Yes, it is. They have no say so. They aren't even the B-side, more like no status. If they want the fight so desperately, they have to take it or leave it.

That's what the Russian hypejob is looking at. If he wants to fight Floyd so bad, let him come to welterweight and win all the titles.

Floyd is lineal, unified, 2x, reigning champ at SWW, his 5th division. He's been holding a belt there for 3 years straight. You'd expect a guy like that to be ready for all comers at the weight. Surely nobody is that much of a paper champ to need excuses with those creds?
Pacquiao also won a belt at 154.. so why can't we see him fight GGG? ..stylistically is a better fight.. Floyd is not gonna engage..dont you guys like rock em sock em brawls and bloodbath, well then Pacquiao vs GGG should be top priority

The desperation to see him lose or knocked unconscious is getting pathetic. .i hope he fights the biggest bum on earth in September and calls it a career.. after beating Pacquiao, thats it, mission accomplished, floyd is finished, time to close the curtains

those who wanna see him splattered on the canvas..too bad.. accept defeat, pack your bags and go home
great post.. i want floyd to take an easy fight hopefully a salka caliber opponent is ready for battle lmao. he has nothing left to prove.

I think he'd be ok knocking the fcuk out of Floyd for his SWW titles only

I would agree but I'm pretty sure Floyd would fight Cotto for the MW strap at a CW of 155 but he won't fight GGG. Tht to me is unacceptable. If he hadn't fought Cotto then I would be fine with it. Fact is he has fought him and will probably fight him again in sept. If Floyd doesn't move up and fights Thurman or that English bast ard then a rematch with pac or retires I'm fine with it.

I already explained it in the post you responded to.
