Gennady Golovkin stopped Willie Monroe Jr in the sixth round in Inglewood, California, on Saturday night.
The 33-year-old Kazakh took a few damaging punches along the way but won inside the distance for the 20th consecutive time.
He knocked Monroe down twice in the second round and finished the bout with a series of uppercuts that took the once beaten boxer's fighting spirit out of him. The fight ended 45 seconds into the sixth round.
Golovkin, nicknamed GGG, is now undefeated after 33 fights, and has been taken the distance only three times.
