He's saying he's fighting the best at the weight when he moves up, realistically that would be GGG, but I believe he is referring to Cotto as he is recognised as lineal middle champ. It is a great statement really, he's giving himself a back door out from his own comments. I expect a publicist wrote it for him.

Hopefully if Cotto vs Floyd does not materialise then we can get Canelo vs Cotto, obviously Daniel Geale has a large say in what happens next after his next fight should he beat Cotto.

I don't understand why so many folk are so hard on for a GGG vs Cotto fight, GGG is knocking out some natural 170-180 guys, what possible chance does Cotto have ? That one would be strictly for the sadists, start rooting for Canelo vs Cotto then Canelo vs GGG, I honestly think GGG is wasting his time sat around waiting though and a move to super middle really is inevitable to face Ward for his recognition fight, one i don't believe he will win either. They're not lies when you take into account Canelo clearly states when he moves up he will fight the best, GGG may be recognised as the best on NSB in the middle division, but, and I'll put emphasis on BUT, Cotto is recognised as the lineal champ IE making Cotto the best. As I said before, it is a very clever tweet from Team Canelo.

If Cotto vacates the WBC, he is STILL the CHAMP, you do understand this right ?
