    Don't be such a **** Richard...

Urgh, anyway, seriously, don't be such a ****. It's like saying "I know boxing inside out, I've seen it all, I'm a ****ing grandaddy boxing master and even Tyson/Douglas didn't shock me because I've been watching it for 50 years and know it back to front". Big ****ing deal?

This **** happens, but it's very rare, and that does make it a shock, even though we've all seen stuff like this before. No one cares how many fights you've seen. A **** load of people here have been watching boxing forever, have seen thousands of fights, been involved with them, whatever. When a guy this hyped to win gets beat by someone given literally next to no chance, it's pretty unreal. If you don't find that stuff exciting still, you're boring, and why the **** do you even watch boxing then?

That's why boxing is an exciting sport. Why the **** do you still watch if you're just too cool for it all now? Why watch it if nothing surprises you?

Despite all the boxing that many of us have seen, this stuff still has the ability to shock. That's why boxing is so exciting. Because it retains it's ability to shock even though I've plenty of this type of stuff happen before.

I didn't see Tyson/Douglas and go because I'd seen shocking upsets before. They're still rare enough to get excited over no matter how many I've seen. I don't think anyone did, even though lots of people had seen stuff like that before. Boxing is the sport of surprise, expect the unexpected.

Sosa was like a mini-Mayorga throwin' nothing but heaterz all those big left hands then caught Estrella hanging out in the pocket too long and brought the hook.

IMO Dude always looked like a KO waiting to happen. I remember in one of the original threads introducing him to the forum, most people seeing the videos said he looked mediocre and looked like size was the only thing he had. I shared that viewpoint. If anything, I saw the headline and chuckled, only slightly amused.
Well ****, I guess a career 118-112 guy jumping up to 130 with only 11 KO's in his 40+ fights is shocking just to me.

Estrella having won 20 out of 22 fights by KO most likely fell in love with his own power. He didn't see in Sonsona a big threat (only 28% KO ratio) while the philippino kept throwing wildly and missing. Hey, this is boxing. Estrella is 23 yrs old and Sonsona has been a pro for 11 years accounting 42 fights (almost Adrian's double). It would be interesting to see what is going to happen in 2-3 years. Maybe this becomes a learning lesson for Estrella and makes him a better boxer. On the other hand, we also will see whether or not this was Sonsona's greatest accomplishment (winning against an overrated undefeated prospect). Only time will tells us where both fighters could stand in the future.

Save your lecture, the point flew right over your head! I said nothing shocks me any more!!! What am I going to do - lie and say it does????????? The fact is, nothing shocks me! It is what it is! That has nothing to do with the fact that I like exciting fights! There is a difference between being excited by action fights and being shocked.

You can kinda see with how Estrella is fighting that he would get caught. He had never proven he had an iron chin beforehand or anything. His punch resistance was not an absolute known at this time really. When punch resistance about a fighter isn't known, I like to think it's guaranteed glass, so I'm not really surprised when they get OHKOed...
It probably has more to do with the fact I considered Estrella possibly the worst mexican prospect currently, along with Berchelt. In all likelyhood, Tornado Sanchez is next. He doesnt impress me too much. IMO, its not long for him...

Sonsona was throwing everything in those punches. He would have been dead tired if it went a couple more rounds. Dude was throwing them hooks with evil intentions, fortunately for him one connected.
