Auditorio Miguel Barragan, San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosí, Mexico - In a fight that some felt would be a major mismatch, Filipino contender Eden Estrella (34-6, 12KOs) pulled off a major upset by stopping previously undefeated puncher Adrian "Diamante" Estrella (21-1, 20KOs) in two rounds to capture the vacant WBC International super featherweight title.

Estrella was in some circles a 40-1 favorite over Sonsona. He was viewed by many as a rising star in the division with big wins in 2014 over former champion Celestino Caballero and tough countryman Dante Jardon.

Big upset, no matter what you thought of Estrella. Eden Sonsona is smaller and not even a big puncher. Miguel Berchelt, Horacio Garcia, Adrian Estrella... Bad times for Mexican prospects.

Just watched the fight on youtube, sonsona caught him. Sonsona kept throwing this telegraphed looping left and he kept missing until he followed it up with a righ hook And put estrella down hard.
