Sulaiman restated last night that GGG is still the mandatory and if Cotto wants to fight Canelo for the title, he needs to get GGG's permission and both Canelo and Cotto have to sign an agreement stating that the winner will fight GGG in their next fight. Neither of them wish to sign such an agreement.

Loeffler stated during the post fight conference that GGG has no intention of stepping aside and will force Cotto to vacate the title before a Canelo fight unless they are able to come to an agreement.

Canelo is smart to play the delay game. GGG can't stay in his prime much longer. Plus Canelo still has a shot at a Cotto fight, and a long shot at a Mayweather fight.

Yea but GGG is not parading around claiming to be the smw champion of the world. I like Cotto and he's clearly not a MW, I don't even want to see him fight GGG tbh it'll end badly for miguel.
