really though, i like both guys but they are very different fighters stylistically speaking. Golovkin is a lot more calculated with his offense and hits harder. Ruslan is more of a swarmer.

Ruslan is a close range guy, he does his best work in close. He has probably never thrown a straight punch in his life

Golovkin is a boxer who sets up his work, but he wants his space to throw straight shots. Plus he does counter punch, which is what got Monroe in trouble in round 2 getting countered over a lazy jab. He can get sloppy with his work like most power guys, but he does have most of the pnuches when he has room to get off.

They are kind of opposites if I really think about it, for offensive fighters.

They are the same fighter. Only difference is Ruslan fights the top talent in his division that are actually worth a damn, and even moved up in weight to fight a pfp guy (which ggg is terrified of doing). And ggg actually has a competent trainer.

If it isn't slick, quick and moves around the ring all the time in the fashion of a prime Sweat Pea or today's Lara's and Rigo's of the world, then you can't tell if they have skill or not.
