I never said it was my personal opinion as him as a fighter, I just said that many Mexican fans (and fans in general really) don't find him to be an exciting fighter. Perception is everything, if they perceive him as boring, he is.

I personally don't think anything is ever that simple. Is racism a factor? Absolutely. Is it the only one? No. We're talking about behavior on the scale of an entire society, nothing is ever so clean cut with a sample size so large and diverse. I don't think people finding Ward boring are necessarily racist, but racists are likely to try and discredit him. It's the whole square/rectangle thing.
