No, Ward still won't fight GGG. Paul Smith is whom Andre Ward chose to fight this June 20th. Paul Smith who is ranked 32nd by BoxRec.com. Paul Smith who lost his last two fights, three of his last seven, and four of his last ten. That's whom Andre Ward chose for his comeback fight, and it was a wise decision. When will Ward be ready for GGG or Sergey Kovalev? I don't know, but I imagine that Ward will take his time to make sure that the ring rust is gone before he fights either GGG or Sergey. And I don't blame him.

Ward's next fight is at 172. He's making the transition up it seems because there's no point waiting for a fight with GGG that wont ever happen. Meanwhile GGG is going to be fighting Willie Monroes for the near future until Canelo finally steps into the ring with him.

Froch is Wards best win. GGG offered to go up in weight and face him in the UK. You know what he said? "We'll swerve him if we can, punches like a mule, dangerous fight".

With each outing against c and b level fighters golovkin looks vulnerable, flawed, limited and hyped. Monroe was very competitve in this fight and in my opinion exposed some of golovkins weaknesses until he just quit. He could have won this fight with the right strategy.But he just chose to give up. Sad he didnt even give himself a chance to win.
