There is only one fighter that can match Roman Gonzalez in his weight division and that is Juan Francisco Estrada

And that's where all their similarities stop. He's technically levels and levels above him, it may not be easily seen as his movements are small and subtle, it kinda reminds me of Duran. He's not some wild swinger, his punches are accurate and very well placed, his combinations are great, his defence is pretty good, he's great at cutting off the ring, and has a nice footwork point blank. It may not be visible, but if you look better in many of his fights when he got his opponents hurt, instead of mindlessly rushing them, he ****s them with a combination of few punches, than takes a step aside while they are hurt, finds the blind angle and procedes with combinations. You could see the same thing tonight in the replay of that KO from the bird's eye view camera...

"Chocolatito" looked as sharp & impressive as always..He already beat "El Gallo" Estrada once & I believe he'll do it again..

Agree with that. Sosa getting criminally underrated here too.

Sosa looked like Baldomir level in there, honestly. Respect to Gonzalez. I only hope he's able to find some decent competition somewhere. I doubt the Inoue fight is a possibility.

You mean seeing as Gonzalez already beat him?

I'm so happy he was on TV, and on a Golovkin undercard, which people would actually watch.

Gonzalez is a great fighter, one of the best in the world right now.
