(INGLEWOOD, Calif) - In the opening bout of the K2 Promotions card, Lightweight Ruslan Madiyev (5-0, 3 KOs) stopped Julio Sanchez in the second round. Trained by Abel Sanchez, Madiyev landed the more-telling blows early on. A barrage of punches with about a minute left in the first round dropped Sanchez (1-2) to the canvas. Almost immediately after the second round began, Madiyev landed a right cross to the chin, dropping Sanchez. Referee Dr. Lou Moret immediately waved the fight over at 21 seconds.
