Comments Thread For: Hearn: DeGale Has Looked Sensational, Dirrell Has Not

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport is confident Olympic gold medal winner James DeGale (20-1, 14KOs) will overcome any adversities by capturing the vacant IBF super middleweight title on May 23rd when he travels to the United States to face Andre Dirrell (24-1, 16KOs) in a Premier Boxing Champions main event from Boston.

Hearn, who wanted the fight to take place in the United States, was beaten at the IBF's purse bid by Warriors Boxing, who appeared on behalf of manager/adviser Al Haymon.

Dirrell was jobbed against Froch and Hearn makes no mention of it, surprise surprise.

They can under play him all they like, the simple fact Dirrell has fought at a higher level, is far more experienced is the reason I expect him to win. Hearn has no outside influence like he does back in the UK on his Matchroom cards, he's pissing in the wind.

Well depends on how you look at it.

I have never seen any other fighter try to flee so urgently they tripped and fell in the ring over themselves. Dirrell has done that so to me that was sensational.

That 100yr old senile gran pappy hurts both dirrells

Both Dirrells need to drop that senile 100 yr old gran pappy who hurts them both. That clueless old man is plain dumb and belongs in a rest home. Disgusting these Dirrells let that old man hurt their careers.
