Maidana got a rematch because the fight was close to some people and Floyd gives rematches in those situations to silence the critics. With that being said, Canelo should rematch Trout or Lara.

Lara clearly deserves a rematch, Canelo can also fight the WBO Champ Demetrius Andrade or the IBF champion Cornelius Bundrage.

Floyd said he's gonna vacate the titles, why doesn't Canelo fight Lara for the WBA since he's holding a part of this belt, hell a fight against Charlo for any of the vacated belts would be great too. Canelo talking about fighting the best, here I just mentioned like 4 guys in their primes that he can fight for all the titles at 154, he can also move up to 160 since he can't make 154 anymore and he's fighting at catchweights (and now he's complaining about them), and fight Quillin or Jacobs or even Andy Lee if Cotto doesn't wanna fight, Also the elephant in the room "GGG" is right there and Canelo wants no part of it. Instead of all these potential opponents he wants to fight a 38 year old Floyd Mayweather who could never weigh more than 151 before and who beat him thoroughly before, this fight wouldn't do anywhere near the same numbers the first fight did.

Sounds like he's more interested in the money than "fighting the best and getting titles", which is what he should do at this stage of his career.
