Laila Ali, retired former champion and daughter of heavyweight legend Muhammad Ali, says the undefeated record of Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not enough to be considered "The Best Ever."

Lailia's father often called himself "The Greatest.” Over the last few years, Mayweather has called himself "The Best Ever" or "TBE" for short.

In some of his interviews prior to the recent fight with Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather made it clear that nobody would be able to change his belief on being better than Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson.

TBE is a strong brand. People out here take it way too seriously. But with him dispatching Pacquiao I could easily see him being a top 3 ATG. All you gotta do is look at the accolades.

This is a more reasonable comment from Laila. She seems to have softened her critical stance on Mayweather's place in boxing following Mayweather's victory over Pacquiao - and quite rightly so, IMO.

The sport moves on anyways.
