Is this a fight that could be huge in a few years. Assuming that Garcia is able to hold on to his dominance at welterweight it'd make a nice meeting of the minds with Garcia challenging for the 154 strap.

Garcia is on the decline now. It will happen slowly though.
Even if he did dominate through 147 (which he won't) by the time he was ready for 154 (which he won't go to that division) canelo would prob be fighting at 168.Comment

Dominance? Garcia got clowned by both Herrera and Peterson at 140. At 147,thurman, maidana, and kell brook ,and probably even shawn porterall beat him,and let's not even mention how he would get embarrassed by Lara,or the charlo brothers at 154. Canelo is killing himself to make 155 right now,so I'd give it by the end of 2016 before hes a full middleweight.Comment

Not a snowball chance in hell of happening. By the time Garcia has been at Welterweight for a little while, Canelo will be at Middleweight. They will always be 2 divisions apart.Comment
