British superstar Amir Khan believes Chris Algieri is a "very tricky and crafty fighter" ahead of their May 29 showdown.
The former unified light-welterweight world champion takes on the New Yorker in his backyard as they clash in a 12-round welterweight contest at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which will be screened on BoxNation.
The 28-year-old is coming off a stunning one sided points win over Devon Alexander last December but is aware of the threat posed by Algieri, who captured the WBO light-welterweight title from Ruslan Provodnikov before sharing the ring with Manny Pacquiao.
A win for Khan could open the doors to a megafight with pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather later this year but Algieri is no one to overlook having upset the odds before when he won his first world title last summer.
