If Kessler beats the hell out of Bute, knocks Frog out or outboxes Inkin for 12 rounds all people here will say is: "just another over-hyped over-protected fighter getting exsposed" - furtermore many of them are too exspensive as most are vital for their promotors who aren't going to damage their goods

Tarver's people were looking for a 168 fighter to get Tarver's name into the mix when Lacy was at his hottest and they approached Kessler with an offer. Palle accepted, but then Tarver got to see a few tapes of Kessler and declined to meet Kessler

Tarver would beat Kessler with no problems I have seen tapes of Kessler and although I have to admit he isnt a bad boxer he would never beat a inform Tarver, Joe would have his way with this guy aswell just like he did with another over hyped fighter Jeff Lacy

All Kessler can do right now is to stay busy, hope for US exposure and wait for Calzaghe to vacate, then unify IBF or WBO. Nobody will fight him right now. Beyer will stay put in Germany and retire as champion.

Why would Tarver fight Kessler when he could be earning all that money against Hopkins, Jones etc

Joppy is damaged goods, oh boy Kessler will tear him apart.

Will we ever see Kessler-Calzaghe this year?

I agree with the risk-reward thing with Kessler, he is good from what I've seen and he has the style to beat Joe or at least make it a close fight. I mean prospects won't fight him because if they lose it sets them back two years, Joe won't fight him because Kessler is not a big enough name yet and he has about 3 fights left max, Lacy probably won't fight him for a long time future because if he loses again soon its goodnight and goodbye Jeff. Nobody can get a fight with Beyer who has a legitimate chance of beating Beyer.

hummm.................it similarites between Kessler and Joes careers here.

Although to be fair in a few years time, Brahmer,Froch and Bute are going to be in the mix if they stay undefeated, hopefully with a reborn Jeff Lacy. Super fights!

True. Can't argue against the money factor. Kessler's everpresent problem.

But if Tarver would beat Kessler as easy as you say AND Kessler is actually willing. Wouldn't Kessler be a nice walkover preparation fight?
Only thing is i bet Tarver isn't taking Kessler quite as lightly as you do - AFTER seeing a few videos.

That's why Tarver first called out Kessler (as a walkover) - but then turned around on a plate, when Kessler accepted and Tarver had had the chance to see a few vid's.

Maybe if he'd bothered to check out Kessler first, Tarver would have saved himself the embarrasment.
