According to Egis Klimas, a manager of the unified Super WBA, IBF and WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (27-0-1, 24 KOs), his protégé’s mandatory title defense (under IBF legislation) against Frenchman Nadjib Mohammedi (37-3, 23 KOs) was postponed for a week.
“The fight is rescheduled for one week due to correction of TV dates on HBO as well as due to some changes with the hotels booked”, said Klimas to TASS (Russian media agency).
IBF #1, WBA #2 and WBO #3 Mohammedi secured his title chance a year ago with a stoppage win over Ukrainian Anatoly Dudchenko. He has scored two KO wins in non-title fights against lesser opposition since then.
