Former Russian and BBU super bantamweight and WBO Oriental featherweight titleholder Andrey “Gentleman” Bogdanov (19-1-1, 7 KOs) will try to reach for new heights but at the same skill level fighting for his first world title (sorts of) on May 16 in a subarctic city of Ukhta, Russia.
Bogdanov, 33, faces Mexican Naciff “Chatito” Castillo (17-5-2, 5 KOs) for a minor WBU (Germany-based) featherweight title. The show will be promoted by Igor Sudelainen, who originates from Pskov, the same city where Bogdanov is from. Castillo is fighting for the first time in 15 months against Bogdanov.
