I think he just meant his style could be that of a boxer, like Mayweather, not that he could box just as good or identical to Mayweather, and that he chooses to be a more aggressive fighter because that's what he likes, that's what the fans like.

GGG isn't a great English speaker. When he said "box like Mayweather", he wasn't saying "as good as Mayweather."

He was saying, "in the manner of Mayweather." In that basic style of evade first, attack only when safe.

Has Golovkin taken the risks floyd has on his careerr? Absolutely ****ing not. Floyd didn't sit around waiting for DLH to fight him. He made it happen. Golovkin fans are totally ok with him fighting 3x a year, 2 of those fights against c level guys, while he waits to beat up on a bloated ww. That's taking a challenge? Well I guess so. For all the crap floyd gets, it's hilarious to hear the hypocrisy. Floyd must move up to challenge himself against Golovkin but Golovkin is allowed to sit and wait for mega paydays. Makes sense.

These girls see through fanboy Goggles. I think highly of GGGs skills and abilities and want to see him fighting the best on PPV and fulfilling his potential. These dudes are happy with him slaughtering 1 ranked fringe contender per year combined with 2-3 stay busy fights.

Great fighters like Floyd, Pac, Chavez, Sweet Pea, Leonard, Duran, Robinson and Armstrong are where they are because they took risks. Since GGG appears to be the next one headed towards greatness I want to see him take risks. Unfortunately his fan boys don't have as much confidence in his abilities as I do.

GGG used to be a counter-puncher when he was in Germany, before he started training with Abel Sanchez. Folks who downplay GGG's skill as that of some basic come forward brawler clearly haven't watched enough of him.
