Should Arum sacrifice #48 to Crawford and create a new star?

Think about it, #48 is not getting any younger and up and coming fighters need a signature win to put them in the map of prize fighting. Crawford vs #48 144 catchweight, Macu China HBO PPV event. That would be the headstart for Terence's carreer as a prize fighter.

What's the point of matching #48 with the same TR fighters...JMM is a 40 year old semi retired man, bradley doesnt make sense, rios is pure garbage etc

#48 vs Crawford, please make it happen Bob!

The thing is, I think that #48 would batter TC.

I think Pacquiao beats him in the type of fight that makes you think "where was this guy against Floyd?". I can see Crawford maybe having early success, but unless he can seriously hurt him, Manny will pull away and out fight him in the mid and late rounds like how he did in the Bradley rematch. I can also see Pacquiao's punches having a bigger effect on him because he's the bigger guy for once.

agree with the few posters who posted before me. Manny would be a heavy favorite in my eyes. Crawford was losing to Gamboa before his size and power advantage took over, and he was neck-and-neck with Dulorme until he landed the KO shot. He's good, but he's not the next big star. A year and a half ago guys were BOOING him when he was fighting on HBO, and I remember threads on here about him being boring and too safe.

              I'll answer your question. No

Crawford is not a star. He would beat Pac but there is no money in that. Manny is like the elvis of boxing. A mexican maybe will be the next big thing.

Give Crawford 2-3 more fights first and I'll take him over Manny in a fun fight.

I really hate how this sport is fractured with HBO/Haymon. Crawford could have some great fights with Khan, Broner, and Garcia.

He not ready for that yet. All these youngins are flopping in their chances to take the torch from Floyd and Pac.
