Haven't seen this monroe guy fight. But from the looks of it, he doesn't have much pop on his punches. He is going to get Geale'd. GGG is not going to have any respect for him and run right thru him. SHould be another highlight reel finish for triple GGG.

I'm most interested in seeing how Golovkin's jab works on a fast, intelligent mover.

Monroe grew up in a strong boxing household under his grandfather, was an accomplished blue-chip amateur, that was mishandled early in his pro-career under Dibella and even recently under Peulleo by sitting out 7 months after winning the Boxcino Tourney.
            All of this.

In my mind, two questions have to be answered about Golovkin.

            (1) How he fares against a genuine mover in terms of cutting off the ring.
            (2) How he fares against an inside fighter who holds and hits.

His bout with Monroe should go some way to answering the first question.

I dunno why some of you are worried about Monroe's low KO ratio. Who is going to win a toe-to-toe war with GGG anyway? Only chance is stealing rounds from him.

Willie Monroe is fast, slick, and has great movement, but he lacks the punching power to keep Golovkin honest. I see a mid to late round stoppage for GGG.

Great points! We've never seen GGG against a great mover like Monroe. People praise GGG's cutting off the ring skills, but they will really get tested this weekend. Let's also see if Monroe can take GGG's punch, I wouldn't be surprised if this goes the distance though (we still don't know how Monroe's punch resistance is).
I actually think Monroe is really good! He just doesn't have the resume to back it up, but I would seriously take Monroe over any middleweight not named Golovkin tbh.
Even if Monroe losses I hope to see him back especially against guys that have basically disrespected him, let's see how they handle the mongoose.
Guys like Tureano Johnson, Tony Harrison, Julian Williams and there was a few others.

All false. You will see. He's no cherry picker this kid can fight.
