Is Roman Gonzalez the Next Big Thing?

Chocolatito may be the best boxer you've never heard before. https://www.throwdownfantasy.com/gam.../554cf66d9b8db

At 5ft 2, I'm not sure "big" will ever be a word used to describe him.

I feel like the "big" things are rarely small small guys.

I remember Michael Carbajal was one of the few small small guys that made a million in a fight.

If big means good, yeah he's already good. If big means really popular, probably not.

lol! True but he's a great little man. Hes a grown man so in essence he wont grow anymore so his match-ups will have to be intriguing. If more Japanese fighters came accross to the U.S. along with Mexican boxers coming accross the border, I think itll draw fans from both respective communities.

I agree with this. He simply fights at too small a weightclass to ever capture popular imagination.

He's up against it as a flyweight. But he always puts on a show and people will watch him. Will the wider public buy into the Estrada rematch or an Inoue fight? No. But boxing fans will.

Relatively speaking yes. He will get coverage and earn purses that are huge compared to others in and around his division.

Nope, people do NOT care about midget weights.
