Heh, I don't know if Manny necessarily landed more or if the stats from the article I linked are more accurate. But I do believe the compubox was quite off and that the fight, in terms of punch count, was much closer than originally stated. Of course, punch count isn't the only factor and I still think it's hard to call it a draw and very hard to call in favor of Pac.
Compubox doesn't review their punch counts, they don't do replays (instant or otherwise). It's basically a pair of guys counting what they think landed or not on the spot.
Don't get me wrong, it's usually accurate enough to paint a general picture of a fight. But sometimes I don't feel this way - I thought May won 7-5 to JLC in the first fight for instance.Comment

i'm finding it difficult to cheerlead pac on the side after may 2nd. his sore loser attitude put me off big time. and he's a phony too. has he brought up God yet?Comment

C'mon. That article is based on a Pac fan from ************ who claims to have watched the fight in slow motion several times. He even scored two rounds even, as well as what he saw on television instead of at ringside.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/box...-decision.html
Heh, knew I wasn't the only one that thought (on replay) that the number of punches landed was grossly misstated.
Pac still lost to me tho.
So it comes down to, some guy on Boxingnews and about 6 other experts vs. the three judges, announcers from both Showtime and HBO, and a few dozen experts.
I was waiting for the excuses, but "some guy watched it in slow motion and said it was even", is an excuse I did not see coming.Comment
