You can not perform well or up to your normal level and still win, although that Is not the case In this fight IMO although this wasn't In no way shape or form a dominant win for Mayweather.

When you reduce the 'Fighter of the Decade' to landing 81 shots you do. Thats and average of 7 shots a round. It wasn't his shoulder either that stopped him, watch the fight and he throws his right more than his left. He was too elusive for Manny.

Its becoming a trend for Roach's fighters than they can't box, they need the guy to stand in front of them to even be able to make some form of fight.

Everytime he got Floyd on the ropes, If floyd didn't clinch, Manny let floyd catch him with a check hook and skate right off the ropes. Manny needes to cut the ring off and failed. That's hyperbole. Mayweather didn't outbox anybody.

Where he could have used inside fighting, he elected instead to clinch and hold. Where he could have used angles, he decided to use distance to disengage. Yes, an argument could be made that technically he "outboxed" Pacquiao. But any objective viewer could see clear as day that neither guy did very much to each other.

Have you ever boxed, or even had lessons, at all?

Why use a hand defence when you can get out of his range? Why risk a war on the inside when you can nullify his attack, and claim the centre ground? The clinch is much a psychological tactic, as you can show your strength in it and frustrate your opponent.

The best defence to somebodies back hand is to take a half step out of their range - every trainer worth their salt will tell you that.

After rewatching the fight,it was a close fight. people are acting like it was a whitewash. There were a lot of rounds where both guys were inactive. I score rounds based on who is doing damage.Mayweather didn't do shyt to pac,if anyone was hurt in that fight it was mayweather.

Pacquiao played right into Mayweather's hand by fighting a cautious fight. The Manny Pacquiao that so many people revere on here is not the warrior that they make him out to be. If he was, he would easily walk through feather fisted Mayweather's punches. Instead he sat back and let Mayweather dictate the entire fight. Now he's rationalizing his failure to beat the guy he swore was afraid to fight him by insisting he won the fight, while making excuses for losing the fight. Now that's delusion.
