That's great for all involved but it will most likely be remembered negatively by every casual sports fan who took the time out to watch it.

I think there might be other intangible negative impacts that we can't see yet as well… As a die hard fan it's been impossible to defend it to casuals as having been an event worth all of the pageantry and hype.

I wish Alvarez vs. Kirkland had been on the undercard of this fight, I wish boxing could have shown the world something like that while it was on that big of a stage.
