According to the Houston Chronicle, 52-year-old Tony Ayala Jr. was found dead Tuesday morning at his West Side gym in San Antonio. Ayala Jr. was found slumped over at the Zarzamora Street Gym in San Antonio. No cause of death has been revealed as of yet.

Ayala was regarded as a top middleweight contender with a record of 31 wins and 2 losses. His career came to stop when he was arrested for **** in New Jersey in 1983, and then served 16 years in prison before being released in 1999.
