No, a super fight is between 2 men who are at or near the top of the sport. GGG is barely a top 10 p4p fighter. Canelo is a top 20 p4p fighter. Maybe in a few years, but certainly not now.

go sit down somewhere. no one cares to see crawford-spence at this time.

canelo-ggg is not a super fight by any stretch of the imagination at this time, mainly because GGG as the b-side, he needs to elevate his brand and become more recognizable. too bad he's exclusive to HBO; moreso than any active fighter, PBC would do wonders for him and exposure.

        no way.
headliners don't speak english. nobody knows who gennady golovkin is.

big, exciting PPV? perhaps. a million buys? doubt it, but it would be nice.

they'll really need to build golovkin before he can help alvarez sell a million ppvs.

if canelo/cotto happens this fall and canelo wins.

then canelo/ggg becomes the biggest fight out there.

cinco de mayo 2016 we will get alvarez vs golovkin.

hbo will make sure of that

lol if you think errol spence has more skill than golovkin and alvarez.

errol spence is a freaking prospect. he's fought 50 rounds. 16 fights against stepping stones. canelo has close to 50 fights, and has been 300 + rounds as a pro. there's also rumor that alvarez has a dozen or so additional fights in mexico for money.

Yes. Once Canelo beats Cotto and Lemieux and GGG beats Lee it will be an undisputed MW championship fight and the biggest to be made in boxing.

It will be a different kind of megafight because it won't involve an American figher and neither guy speaks good English. But it will be an easy sell because you have 2 prime fighters going at it for the undisputed crown.

All this building and building is getting me depressed with the sport , i see Quigg went for Kiko in the end (thought he will go for Rigo after all the talks) so i have Rigo begging fighters to come to him (he is the champion as well!!) same with GGG , building and building and building , yes we get it Americans and British have more money and when their "stars" are fighthing it makes more money , but they avoid the REAL good figthers and thats just sad.
Soccer for example is way past that and you have Messi/Ronaldo and many more non Tier 1 countries players at the very top of the sport.
the one thing i love about MMA , they make the big fights happen.
I hope things turn around and we do get the big figths going without holding our breath until it does , it should be the way the sport is handled and not a singular event.
