Last week former super lightweight champion Ruslan Provodnikov told BoxingScene.com that he was surprised to hear that his former opponent Tim Bradley would be facing Jessie Vargas in an HBO televised main event on June 27th at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.

Provodnikov lost a close decision to Bradley at the same venue in March, 2013 in a battle that won "Fight of the Year" honors. Provodnikov has unsuccessfully chased a rematch with Bradley since that fight happened and said that - "Vargas is the worst possible opponent that he could face."

LMAO, Vargas Bradley? I did not know this fight is happening, but that is one fugging snoozefest of a fight. What is HBO thinking?

I'm torn.

I like Bradley and always watch his fights, but this means I'll have to watch a Jessie Vargas fight. :yuck: I've made it 6 years without watching even a millisecond of him, but now thanks to HBO that proud streak will be broken. :angry2:

But Bradley isn't an exciting fighter. He's usualy involved in really ugly and really bad fights, Bradley is as good as his opponents.

When Provod is beating the snot out of him, he's watchable.

But a Vargas, Bradley fight? Yikes. That is a recipe for insomnia.

Oh yeah, almost forgot reading about how provo was upset Bradley wasn't giving him a rematch. Should be a good fight, but Bradley probably wins. More importantly though, Vargas/Provo would definitely be something I'd look forward to.

This isn't a fight. Bradley is too good. Vargas for some reason gets all these fights and he's not any good. He should have 2-3 losses already. I would love for Bradley to get an KO in this fight.

Shoot, Bradley is going to box circles around this dude. The jab is going to be key.....jab in his face all night and when he tries to come inside....bam with the straight right. He's going to work the body early on too, slow this dude down.
