No one knows if Monroe would have made weight or not, he removed himself from the pre-fight weigh ins. The only weigh in that is really important is the one the day before the fight. He still has a shot at the WBA title, just not at the WBC Interim title and mandatory challenger position.



Cotto would take a knee in the dressing room if he had to fight Golovkin.

I think if he could have made weight he'd be doing so...and if you think that being the mandatory to Cotto and the WBC Interim title is not important...well I have to disagree and say he's blown a big opportunity.

For the record,
I'm a Cotto fan and I don't believe or care for the glove crap. As far as I know he uses custom gloves just like the other stars in the sport including Floyd and Cotto and there is nothing illegal about it.

i didnt say i accuse anybody of anything i was just simply posting an article i seen about the exact fight where his opponent questioned it because the thread writer was asking about it. it does seem a little suspect but that dont mean i think he did it but in the boxing game i have learned not to put anything past any fighter or trainer
